Hún pabbi

Actor Hannes Óli Ágústsson never experienced intimacy with his father. In his youth, he envied his playmates because of their relationship with their fathers. Hannes just wanted a "normal dad", but his father was distant despite being there. Deep down, Hannes knew that something was not as it should be. One day everything changed. His dad simply let himself disappear and became Anna Margrét Grétarsdóttir, then 57 years old. She informed her wife of 30 years and her two children that she was not really who they thought she was all these years. She was not Ágúst Már, but Anna Margrét.

⭐⭐⭐⭐ S.J. Fréttablaðið

Hannes Óli's stage presence is genuine and free from pretense. He is here telling the story of his female father from his own perspective, aided by family photographs, pop songs, and childhood films. His timing is excellent, and his connection with the audience is strong.
